Kinoki is the international standard for moving image art. Powered by a decentralized team of experienced contributors, Kinoki is built on strong editorial and curatorial principles.

At Kinoki, we consider the moving image to be the most exciting, compelling and paradigmatic form of art in our screen-mediated world. In our opinion there is no contemporary art without film, video, and digital art.

Kinoki is committed to promoting inclusivity and equity. We strive to amplify underrepresented voices and support emerging artists, nurturing a community that values creativity and social responsibility. Please read our statement on sustainability for further information on our stance and actions.

We publish information about the expanded field of moving images in contemporary art while also providing incisive reviews of exhibitions and in-depth interviews with visionary artists and curators. Our mission is to offer our audience a comprehensive perspective on the evolving landscape of moving image art.

Kinoki was founded in 2023 by writer-curator Greg de Cuir Jr and artist-publisher Nikola Jelovac.
